fandom.com has always been a pile of barely usable garbage. More projects should follow and self host a wiki again.
Fandom is 95% popups at this point.

Oh indeed! But websites should still be borderline functional even without adblock.
I used fandom on my kid’s new tablet (we were looking up video game stuff) and it was unusable, no exaggeration.
Use an adblocker (uBlock Origin)
Oh wow, good for them. Had a quick look and it looks like a really nice import of their old stuff.
Hopefully Fandom doesn’t crush them with their seo monopoly stuff.

This might be going back a while, I haven’t played or looked anything up in along time, but back in the early days was the minecraft wiki not already its own site. At what point did they move to fandom? It’s good they’re moving, but why did they ever go there in the first place?
They were originally on Gamepedia, which got bought out by Fandom.
