Saw the headline, wondered why you’d want heating.
Read the article, seems like they just mean measuring how much it heats up under load ;p they aren’t otherwise actively heating it
I did read the article, and I understand they meant measuring the temps under load under various circumstances. It’s a good article, and helpful. I just had a confusing reaction to the headline.
Made sense to me for really cold environments to keep the chipset at its optimal temp. Didn’t read the article tho
I thought it meant something like that, but no. They stress test the new hardware with and without active cooling, bare, with a hat, and with the case. It’s a good article if you’re considering getting one. Very thorough.
Good to know, I completely forgot already haha. I’ll give it a read.
Oh boy! I can’t wait to buy another similar single board computer with lesser software support when these all immediately go out of stock and cost 3x on eBay.
All jokes aside, I really hope there will be adequate stock for hobbyists this time around.
I’m also stoked to see what a new pi0W might bring to the table this generation with such an increase in SOC performance.
Is there information available about the noise levels of the case? I only see noise levels mentioned for the active cooler.
