I plan to, trying to sell her on the 35mm PRX mother of pearl, but she’s not sure on the style. She also just got a new pair of glasses with a rose gold frame and they look great on her, so maybe something to match the tone of those would work great.

The trick is to get a base level of so many watches, that she just doesn’t recognise (nor care) if there is a new one in there.

I’ve always loved watches but knew nothing about good ones, so each time I got a department store one for $20 it fell apart in a couple months.

At the start of 2021 me and my girlfriend got Fitbits to help with health tracking, $150 at the time felt like a lot, but having it made me look into quality watches.

But since I obviously wanted every cool watch I saw a video about, it helped a lot that my girlfriend kept me in check so instead of getting 10+ watches I just keep saving until there’s one I really want.

The Citizen is my going out watch and the Gshock is my daily, gonna mod it soon, the kit is un transit at the moment, and the Fitbit goes with me to the gym.

Plan on adding either a Tissot Gentleman or a PRX auto soon, either in green unless they release a red one, maybe both, also looking into Zelos for a while, I’ve been waiting drop after drop for one that says “this is the one”.

Any other suggestions on this price range? ($200-$800)

Because I only get the pieces I really want instead of wasting money (and time reselling), honestly if I was by myself I would be like those posts that say “three months onto the hobby, what should I get next?” With over 30 watches that likely get next to no wrist time.

It’s a great one, but if you’re not sure you want a diver, what is it about it that you have it on the list? The titanium build? The ease of use of the Eco Drive?

Yep. You nailed it. It’s amazingly light despite its size and I dig the titanium color and texture. My only quartz is a bulky chronograph, so I want another grab-and-go solar, I just don’t know if I have a place in my rotation for a bulky 3-hander is all.

Maybe I just need to offload one of my less worn autos to make room.

I follow gnomon watches regularly and im a fan of independent/ smaller watchmakers. A very interesting Japanese model popped up on my feed today - closer to the lower end of your price range, automatic, SS bracelet and a gorgeous textured dial (comes in a few colors - some limited with varying prices - nothing ridiculous though) see through case back with blued rotor really caught my attention- also love the fact that it’s sort of a unique timepiece that you wouldn’t find at the mall. Also pretty versatile at 39mm.

Oh and did I mention the 100 meter water resistance? And date complication?? Looks like a whole lotta watch for that price! Definitely worth checking out.
