And this number will continue to grow. Basketball is truly becoming an international game.

I’m looking forward to seeing China get back on the map in terms of basketball talent.

While China lacks in athleticism, I feel like they’re amongst the best in rigorous repetition training. That’s why they’re always amongst the best in gymnastics, diving, shooting, archery, etc.

Makes me kinda surprised that we don’t have some lights out 3 point shooter from China. Like a Luke Kennard or Duncan Robinson mold.

What does lack in athleticism means? Somehow their billion people don’t have the ability to be as athletic as other countries? How does that make sense at all lol?

I feel people underestimate how much work of a catch-&-shoot player is in an NBA game. Those guys still need to move and position themselves against NBA level defense just to catch and shoot.

China’s flaw is that their players lack the coaching of the US and they never face the same level of defense and size of NBA players. Even the “unathletic” guys of the NBA are still more athletic than most guys in other Leagues and they still need to move around just to get a good shot

Yeah there’s a reason Jimmer Fredette wasn’t a star in the NBA but was in China. Being a great shooter is meaningless if you can’t get off shots and/or the rest of your game isn’t at least decent.

Its good that we have so many now. Maybe in the future well have an american team to play in other countries and not just olympics and world cups.

Most talent we’ve ever had in the league, the most global basketball has ever been, and makes for better competition!
