Invasion of Canada would spark decades-long insurgency
That would be great for the US fear fueled propaganda machine
And to top it off they’d sell us the weapons to continue the fight. Profits come first.
Yeah we’re not buying US weapons that come with their own kill switch, apps that need updating, continued trade to keep operational.
I hope we do move away from being reliant on their military materiel but I have my doubts.
They frame it as if we rely on them. Meanwhile they’ve asked us for our help - never the reverse. It’s better if we cut them out so they can’t lie and gaslight us about military coverage. Just cut them out.
Its a good idea to not be reliant on an unstable trade partner. In practice it’s going to be really difficult.
We will try.
We definitely have to. It’s not like we have a choice.
