Alright, I can explain since I’m french. He definitely knows what’s a churro because we have it in France too.

But the way he said “churro” in english sounds very different than how we say it in French (same word but different pronounciation) and Wemby got confused.

It’s always funny that when they talk to a international rising star they always find out how to say something in their language.

Its funny that churros are so synonymous with San Antonio but as someone who is from here I don’t see many people eating them or even places that sell them.

I’ve never heard of churros being synonymous with San Antonio. I figured churros are just everywhere if you’re anywhere near the border. I just moved to Phoenix, and they’re definitely all over the place here. Parking lots, golf carts, random corner lots. Damn near every restaurant has them

It’s the same for us Belgians and waffles. Only kids and tourists eat waffles. Haven’t had one in 5 years or something. Fries, beer and chocolate on the other hand…

I had a couple at the pulga last month. I had never seen caramel ones, but tbh they weren’t as good as the regular

This is the first time I’ve heard Wemby speak. His English is superb: barely an accent, uses colloquialisms.

Aside from getting a great player. Having a star caliber player on San Antonio means we will get more chuck talking about San Antonio. Which idk why it took me so long to realize that would happen.
