I bought this for £15 from eBay because I wanted an LED watch, and I liked the 1970s retro chunky bracelet vibe. I know SKMEIs get very mixed reviews and this one is definitely on the low end of the quality spectrum. I’d be interested in buying a high quality version of the same but I’m not sure what that would be. I love the Bulova Computron, but I haven’t really got £300 to drop on a watch right now. Anyone got any ideas what might scratch this itch, last more than a year and not cost the Earth?
EDIT: I’m well aware that my idea of an expensive watch is way below some of y’all’s. In my mind a high quality watch costs about £200; the idea that somebody would spend four or five figures on a watch when the same money would buy a decent car is absolutely offensive to me…

I’ve got the Armitron Griffy, you can pick it up for 40-ish USD on Amazon. The overall quality is rather nice, certainly better than what you get from Casio at this price point - metal case and caseback, 50m of WR and bracelet typical for those kind of watches (folded links), but this one doesn’t bother me too much.
You could always find a computron used, they go for between 200-300. If that’s the watch you want you should just save up for it instead of compromising imo.
How about a smart watch? You can customize the screen. More functions, easier to justiry spending bit more.
I have the hamilton pulsar and love it for its extreme simplicity …but another iconic one is Girard perregaux casquette …would love to get my hands on it .
