      I wanna talk to Draymond!

Fly me to the moon like that bitch David Joel Stern!

'Cause it’s hard being black and gifted

Sometimes I just wanna throw down and get ejected

Plot twist: Metta has a civil conversation leading to Draymond Green returning to the team as “Draymond PeaceNLove” and spends the rest of his career calmly diffusing on and off court issues. This culminates with him retiring as the league leader in Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award holders.

Why? First paragraph and it’s obvious that Ron is either not paying attention at all or struggles with understanding.

You’re bring downvoted but this is literally quoted in the article

Well, I want to talk to Draymond to make sure he’s ok. He’s an energized player. This is something that I didn’t expect from Draymond. If you look at my career and you look at Draymond’s career, he’s got four rings, and he was always able to keep his energy under wraps. This [incident] is really surprising to me.

    Misleading title.

    Actual quote:

“Well, I want to talk to Draymond to make sure he’s ok. He’s an energized player. This is something that I didn’t expect from Draymond. If you look at my career and you look at Draymond’s career, he’s got four rings, and he was always able to keep his energy under wraps. This [incident] is really surprising to me.”

“I would prefer to speak to Draymond to check on him, so hopefully one day he can reach out to me because his career is going very well. Even though he has a lot of energy and it can come across as negative sometimes. It never really affected his winning, right? So to see him kind of overreact such as I have overreacted in times in my career, it’s just a thing where you want to reach out to a player. So I hope that I can actually chat with him and just see where his mind is at and stuff like that.”

I wish Draymond would’ve pulled that nut kicking shit on Metta when he was in the league still. That’s one guy who wouldn’t let that slide.

Redditors ain’t exactly the best with nuance and extrapolation. They just assume everyone is as angry as they are.

Thank you OP for editing that part out of your title. I did not need to know that was how the article referred to him.

Say what you want about him, but out of the history of players in the league with clear anger issues, Metta World Peace is one of the most aware and the most outspoken about being a hot head during his career.

      Love and respect him 100%.

A true man owns his mistakes, tries to learn from them and works his ass off to correct them. We all fail, it’s how many times we can keep on getting back on, stronger, wiser.
