I inherited this watch from my grandpa some time ago, yet only recently discovered it in one of the boxes. Haven’t checked the legitimacy yet, but it’s so beautiful that I have no intention of selling it. The arabic dial also seems very unique. I find it funny that just as I got into watches, I found this one by accident.

For how often the cyclops is brought up, it’s really one of the worst ways to tell given that the crystal is the most replaceable part of the watch. You can tell because it’s a stainless steel day date, because of the overall terrible quality. Especially with older Rolexes with acrylic crystal the cyclops can be worn down to where it actually magnifies less.

This was fake, but assuming that no genuine Rolex owner has ever used a third party replacement crystal is a pretty terrible way to judge what’s real and what’s fake.

Almost as good as thinking that having a box and papers means it’s real.

This model is a day date. These watches only come in yellow, white and rose gold. You can google a Rolex day date and see the differences yourself.

Also, these watches only come with a fluted bezels and presidential bracelets.

    TLDR, it’s fake.

Why does everyone have to make up a story about a dead relative giving them a fake watch? Just post it and say you wanna know if your fake is passable. Stop lying about people dying

I’d assume most aren’t made up? Same happened when both my grandparents died, going through their house you just find a little watch box at the back of a wardrobe

Who cares it’s fake, it’s a really cool watch worth keeping (you won’t get much for it anyway)

Someone accused me of “dancing on my grandfather’s grave” when I posted a pic of the watch I’d inherited from him 🤦🏻‍♂️😂
