It’s a song about fighting against fascism. So yes, it’s high energy in the sense of rallying people against oppression, even if that may not be immediately apparent. Interesting choice by a basketball coach; not entirely sure his reasons, but I like it.

Because its famous in Serbia and Europe in general . There are a lot of chants and song that use the music from Bella ciao and just change the lyrics

Well, I definitely can see how a song about partisans fighting fascists would be famous in Serbia too

Serbs gonna downvote, but hearing another of my countrymen mention music other than turbo folk or whatever gargled mouthwater it is that Joker, Luka and Boban listen to, I’m fighting back real emotions man

I can’t wait for this man to inevitably get into politics and make some positive changes

Least naive Serbian man . Joking aside, I don’t listen to our music in private either, but it’s disrespectful to call it the way you did . Sure there is bunch of garbage songs but there are a lot of bangers too

        I absolutely meant it disrespectfully!

I kind of agree, to an extent. Everything that’s created, has SOME artistic merit. But when I have to dig through 1000 conveyor belt “artists” to get to 1 Toma, it’s hard for me to be supportive of it. You love what you love, my undying hatred for it should not hinder your experience ❤️

It doesn’t, I am just saying you are objectively wrong . I don’t like Toma that much , but I can understand why he is loved and I can respect his contributions and his music , despite not being in love with his music
