Hello,

I hope I’m not breaking any rule by posting this kind of content here.

Are you looking forward this movie?

Uhhh, is this real, cause if so, Ridley is not going to get any hardcore history buffs with this movie. They already have Waterloo, a movie that will literally take a whole army to top.

There’s also a 6-hour-long silent film epic biography of Napoleon made in the 1920s by Abel Gance. It uses split screen in really interesting ways.

Does this poster look like a cheap photoshop job to anyone else?

I’m making no comment on the movie itself, I generally like Ridley Scott and Joaquin Phoenix.

But this poster looks really off to me for some reason. Just a quick try at what’s bugging me…Joaquin’s face looks shopped into the hat/coat. The sword looks shopped into the hands. The entire horse and rider look copy/pasted over a stock background.

Is this young or old napolean… I’d imagine once he was commander of entire armies he used whatever he wanted…I’m no historian obviously

Looking forward to the movie… But i do wish it was a mini series, there is just so much to cover.

I’ll probably watch it. But I wouldn’t say I’m eagerly awaiting it like I did with Oppenheimer.

    Yep, that’s a Napoleon alright.

I love Ridley Scott, but whenever I think about this movie I can’t help but regret that Kubrick never got the chance to make his Nappy film.
