Wild. I remember Angry Birds was everywhere, almost Pokemon-levels of public appeal and generating wheelbarrows of money.

And then poof, like beanie babies and tamogatchis.

They went from ‘1 dollar to get the full game’, with starwars deals and so on to ‘generic p2w for whales’. The innovation wasn’t here anymore and they shot themselves in the foot with dumb pricing/gameplay.

It’s still popular with some young kids, my son still plays the series and loves the movies. You just don’t see everyone and their grandma playing it anymore.

    Hmmm.

Sega is a subsidiary of Sega Sammy Holdings. Sammy is a major developer of pachinko machines.

I wonder where this is going?

go to your local pachinko parlor
buy a lot of pachinko balls
see birds flying according to the speed of the balls you input in the machine

I mean, I don’t play pachinko, but I think it’d be more fun if the balls had the birds on them and you knocked some piggies down as you bounced down the machine or at least knocked them down at the bottom depending on where you landed.

Let’s hope Sega has some decency and restores the Angry Birds Classic to the mobile stores, which should had never left, in the first place!

Angry Birds is still a big brand. Not as big as during their prime time but as long as you can make money with it, it’s worth it
