Reminds me of that day in 2015 I tried to commit su*cide by intentional hyponatremia. because I’m a hydrohomie and I really love water and my body is accustomed to drinking a lot of water, so I thought excessive hydration would be a nice way to check out of this torturous earthly existence.
well apparently hyponatremia hits differently for different people. The effect it had on me was:
first vomiting the extra water, But I was persistent and kept drinking more,
and of course lots of peeing, within an hour my pee was crystal clear,
the next effect it had on my body, the only way I can describe how it felt was that every cell in my body felt puffy.
I kept drinking,
and after hours of constant drinking and peeing and vomiting and drinking more and peeing and vomiting for like 5 hours, I was exhausted and disappointed that I wasn’t dead yet, so gave up & fell asleep.
next day I woke up fine but feeling actually pretty awesome because super hydrated. Felt physically awesome & healthy, so it gave me a little more courage to keep moving forward with this miserable earthly existence.

Task failed successfully! Hope you’re doing better these days!
Aye! 😄
Odd way to try to kill yourself.
Yup I’m an odd one for sure.
Wouldn’t one need to drink one’s entire weight in water to go from 80% to 90%?
Hmm let’s see. For easy math, let’s assume a large person who is 100kg.
That means they have 80kg of water in them. Drinking 10kg of water would put them at 90kg of water, but also increase their body weight by 10kg. Thus they are 90/110*100=81.81% water.
It seems one would get diminishing returns on this too. You might be right. I’m interested know what the proper steps to figure this out is.
100kg person is 80kg water -> 20kg not water
For them to be 90% water -> 20kg not water of a total of 200kg -> 180kg water
180kg water after drinking - 80kg water before drinking = 100kg water must be consumed
Yup, that was my exact thought process. You even chose the same numbers my brain did.
