At the same time, most of the endgame zones are gated behind the lordvessel. And that is gated behind sens and the bells. Four lords behind the ring from sif. That’s gated behind the crest from andre. So there are certainly some walls.
Unfortunately, moving is expensive and citizenship elsewhere is expensive and complicated.

Driving home from a family reunion thing with my partner today. We had a tire blow on the way out, so we’re sitting at walmart waiting for them to swap it out so we can limp home >.>
Driving on the highway is so fucking stressful, I really wish we had a train route or something between us.

I can relate to some extent. I tend to daydream a lot and get really sucked into the world or the lore or even imagining a specific scene from a story. So much so that I’d zone into it and just pace around the apartment. That and just doing stimmy stuff while pacing.
I also sort of run through dialogue in my head, and sometimes that “leaks” as me verbally saying a line a character would say, or repeating it with an altered tone, or doing a couple parts of a conversation.
When I worked at a gas station I got jumpscared a few times by coworkers or customers who came in when the door beeper was broken or I was doing dishes, and they seemed fairly creeped out, but I also might’ve just been panicking at being seen or heard so… I dunno.
I’ve heard the term maladaptive daydreaming used before, but I don’t think it’s an officially recognized term or anything. I feel like there was a more neutral term that meant “intense daydreaming” but I forget what it was >.<

I dunno, it feels weird to have somebody act like the messages people send to support are supposed to result in good PR or some kind of benefit for them.
It isn’t a PR outlet. It’s definitely not a community run beta testing/bug report line. It’s meant to be a point of contact for people who are likely already upset. The hope is that they come out the other end less upset, not happy they had a problem that support could fix. There is no winning, you aim to break even.
Feels kinda like complaining that IT isn’t giving you tangible returns. They aren’t meant to. They exist to put out your fires and prevent more.
Bottom line for me is, I don’t trust you. I don’t care what you claim telemetry is for, I assume that you are like any other business and want to make as much money as is possible, and that’s all the data will be used for. Selling it to whoever is interested. Dynamic pricing. Etc.

Yee this is how I discovered there’s an invisible ceiling eventually. But you can also climb high enough to ride on the trains in some areas so I forgive the max height, especially since its real fuckin far up.

That’s just not accurate enough for it to be a viable solution. Life in prison can at least be reversed if you get it wrong. If you kill somebody there are no take backs, and our legal system is too imperfect for permanent punishments.
Not great, to be honest. The apartment isn’t dirty, per say. It’s just very disorganized and some things don’t get done as often as I’d like.
For example, laundry sort of rotates between a clean and dirty pile. Folding is rare. Dishes get done before they get gross, but I find myself regularly realizing we’re out of forks or plates and having to wash some things so we have stuff for dinner, or needing to restack dishes so we actually have one side of the sink open to use.
Longer term stuff like vacuuming or dusting really only happens when we expect company, or an inspection.
It’s all just sort of exhausting…

That’s basically the crux of the accusations. Valve says it’s only for steam keys, other devs say they’ve been told not to sell their game for less elsewhere, even if they don’t include a steam key. I guess we’ll see as the case continues.

For those unaware, medicaid has an income cap. If you make too much you lose insurance. Now there’s a work minimum, so you’d better hope you can hit the required hours, without going over the income limit. Gotta fucking thread the needle, AND make sure you report that information to the govt every single month, and if they lose a letter or make a mistake, I guarantee they’ll take away your insurance first and ask questions later.
And now they’re further reducing what level of sickness would exempt you from that shitty requirement, because if you aren’t actively dying or writhing in pain then you’re probably fine…
Healthcare is/should be a fucking human right, I hate this shit.
I’m ex-mormon. They firmly consider themselves christian. They believe in Christ as a savior who died for our sins, etc etc, where a lot of sects considered non-christian see him as a prophet, not a savior/divine entity. There are a lot of arguments about the trinity and if considering christ a separate being still counts, but in the simplest sense, they kinda are christian. The bar shifts depending on who you ask though.

I’m fairly sure you can’t hear enemy voice chat in CS2, so I imagine you wouldn’t hear the theme song. Not sure about the other games tho.
Most of the graphical changes seem… fine I guess. The characters faceplant right into the weird hyperrealistic uncanny valley tho.
I’m not sure them mentioning more dialogue and cutscenes makes me particularly excited. Seeing what they’ve changed and added in the trailer doesn’t inspire confidence, it feels like those joke AAA gaming tutorial things where they state the obvious in a hyper positive cheesy voice and maybe I’m just picky because its different, but here we are.
The multiplayer looks sort of neat, too bad I’d have to buy a switch 2, pay for Nintendo online, and suffer on Nintendo’s shitty servers to use it.
I’ll probably just stick to the recomp. My favorite part of the game is the gameplay, and that looks completely unchanged.
This comment is a decent example of the antagonistic relationship that helldivers seem to have with the devs. I doubt they are actively trying to ruin their own game, but mistakes are very regularly framed that way in feedback, and said feedback is usually very angry, and usually written in a way to insult the developers competence or choices.
I just don’t see that level of anger in most other games, and I really don’t know what’s so different in this case.
The helldivers community seems to constantly be one patch away from burning down arrowhead studios, so there’s that.
They could have a little beep, like some cars do when you lock them. Made relatively quiet with the double beep further differentiating from a regular honk.
