So how does it work in the US then? Is there a law that everything needs to be isolated very well, no metal shells allowed or people just getting electrocuted from time to time

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•Can I make a Bluetooth button to skip YouTube ads on the computer?
1·4 months agoI can confirm this behavior. If there is a “race” between ad blockers and YouTube, I am not noticing it.
Okay, I see this is very simplified, but an instrument consists of more than a strength? Given how many different instruments and voices exist - how many different individual waveforms exist? A flute should have another waveform than a saxophone and my voice is different to that one of your mother.

2·4 months ago!europe@lemmy.dbzer0.com was founded as as response to a decision from !europe@feddit.org that antisemitism shall not be allowed here anymore. It was a very controversial decision, that was discussed in detail in this post: https://sh.itjust.works/post/38090069
A lot of people that engaged in the discussion including myself, has been permabanned from that new community as we are alleged “genocide deniers”. The community wants to build an alternative European community in a hostile manner towards !europe@feddit.org
In the beginning there were some people notoriously crossposting in order to advertise that new community. This is why I thought you might be doing the same. I sincerely apologize, as it didn’t came to my mind you might be out of the loop. Of course, I am a strong supporter of the decentralization thought of the Fediverse.

21·4 months agoWhy do you always cross post from that other small Europe community? Aren’t we all genocide deniers here, so you needed your safe space, or is this just advertising?

No Stupid Questions@lemmy.world•How do you objectively tell if a parents "I love you" is actually sincere, if they actually care about you? Or if the words are lies and they don't actually care?
481·4 months agoYou don’t. Love is expressed by things people do, not what they say.

37·4 months agoKuka was bought in 2016 by the Chinese company Midea in its majority, just FYI.
I started out on feddit.de, but at one point the admin went on a vacation or business trip and never came back. The database went corrupt and the instance was destroyed more and more, until it finally went offline.
In the meantime I switched to sh.itjust.works, and I love it there. It’s mainly for French and English speakers so I guess Canadian, but it has been a super smooth experience for more than a year now. And the people are great too.
There is feddit.org for the German speaking region now, and it has a great team and concept behind it, but it was a bit too late for me.
I then switched to piefed.social because the Lemmy developers suck big time. PieFed is great, but I am exclusively browsing via the Voyager mobile app and there have been some bugs lately, but I will for sure switch back.
I feel obligated because this was posted the last time I saw this:
