not gonna say you don’t have a point here, but what if the underlying windows manager is akin to sex, the renderer is gender, and everything else is just what you interface to it with these two layers of abstraction?

Interesting question, also, what if I am a DFB, or just can’t give up on GEM?
Non vegetarian here. A vegan friend served me some vegan burger and I was absolutely shocked at how good it was. Did it taste exactly like beef? No. However it hit most of the spots to sate a craving I may have for one. The vegan cheese pretty much perfectly emulated american “cheese”, which I don’t personally use, but on a burger has a specific place. I have also introduce TVP into my normal diet. If you cook it right it can act as a very good alternative to crumbled ground beef. My friend makes a vegan chili dip that, if not told, almost everyone just assumes contains beef.
Other vegan cheeses I have tried are awful, even some expensive ones. My best friend doesn’t process animal protein, so was basically forced into eating vegan style. We have made some recipes from chefs online, mostly using various types of mushrooms, that are to emulate steak, that have been very good.
I always felt like gender would be something more like X, rather than the entire OS.
America needs a hard reboot, a new operating system, and a huge file purge

It is however the absence of reason to assume it’s factual
In this case though this is real. Where it might have been said to not be real is the quote is often attributed to the director of the game, where as it was actually said by the screen writer of the show.
TERFs: The way trans women always try to make themselves fit patriarchal society’s image of feminine is damaging to REAL women, and FEMINISM
Also TERFs: Oh god! Someone who doesn’t perfectly fit within patriarchal society’s image of feminine is in the bathroom! Harass HIM while I call the police!
Your wording is weird. I can’t tell if you are trying to call my motives into question, questioning if this story about this cop is true, or what exactly.
Well, we can never know that. As my opinion goes for him being a cop, that is somewhere in this thread, I am just pointing out that this particular meme, calling out police inaction, makes the poster child the only cop that tried. That was just the whole point.

25·12 days agonot just “not a doctor” but someone who wrote a book where he went into detail about how he doesn’t believe in GERM THEORY.
He is saying they need to be good guys in service to the public, rather then seeing themselves as punishers of a public they now regard as criminal. He suggests switching their idol to Captain America because he is all about self sacrifice for the common good of the citizenry. That by aligning with him, as police, they are bad.
Reports from the time show he was in heated argument about going in, and was detained when shooting started and he tried to force himself in.
This isn’t a defense of what happened at Uvalde. I am just pointing out that the meme chose the one guy who physically tried to do something to use as the poster child for their inaction. I am sure if we could use a time machine to see his whole career he did a bunch of terrible shit that ruined people’s lives when her either didn’t have too, or was legally barred from doing so, but got away with it because he is the system’s enforcer.
It has been a long time since I have read comics, but he was basically an anti-hero. He did a lot of stuff that was straight just bad, torturing people for information, and just a lot of over the top use of force. He doesn’t see himself as a hero, and he regrets getting into the life hie is in, because it’s just a lot of killing, and not always killing “bad guys”, plus it leads to people he cares about always being collateral damage.
He was a marine, whose exact story shifted, but was basically some sort of black ops, or some sort of special operations, sometimes he’s a seal. But his family coincidentally witness a mob hit and they get killed over it. Frank returns and goes into a period of depression and alcoholism, then decides to kill the mafia organization that did it. This just lead him into a never ending path of revenge, turning to people seeking revenge on him, turning to him killing them, and so on.
No, this was the one cop there that tried to do something. Very shortly after this picture he was physically restrained, and removed, and put into protective custody by the other cops. He is looking at his phone because his wife is communicating with him as she is shot, and dying, in the classroom she taught in.
Well, I hate to stick up for a cop, but this is the only cop on scene who actually tried to deal with the shooter. In this picture he is receiving a call, or texts, I can’t remember (turns out it was both), from his wife who is a teacher at the school. Not long after this image he was tackled, and taken into protective custody by the other cops, physically forcing him to stand down. His wife was shot and dying while communicating to him in this picture.
Yes, whether or not that means it becomes a popular facet of actual language is a whole different thing though, and that’s the part your are ignoring, the broad change in how words are used.

They would only ever do it if people under 18 having phones wasn’t massively profitable
