It’s not just that, it’s the whole style of it. Just found it pretentious, and if the ending is the only thing that makes the film worth it, I don’t think it’s a good film

I’d already had the ending spoiled, and after watching an hour I thought the ending was a bit obvious.

I looovveeeedd the first film so I’m really excited about this. My predictions:

1. Ralph Fiennes dies protecting Spike
2. Dad dies looking for Spike
3. Samsun has some kind of big role, possibly overthrowing the Jimmies with Ralph.
4. I sob hysterically when Ralph dies

I watched Dunkirk in the cinema prepared with tissues for a Saving Private Ryan snotfest. Around 1/3 through I started sobbing cos of the sheer tension. Amazing film.

cos I saw the final scene on insta (spoilers obvs). Fucking loved it, absolutely gripped throughout and Tom SMASHES it.
