What? You do know that the poverty line is used as a base reference often right? Usually government assistance programs will qualify based on anyone below X% of the poverty line like 200% or something. You don’t have to be at or below the poverty line to qualify.

There are many ways to accomplish this it’s not impossible to make tuitions reasonable for people who can afford them and attainable for people who can’t. Not sure how effective that would be. It would have to be paired with regulation on the cost of college tuition for it to actually do anything.

And even then, a “more affordable” college education still is unobtainable to many students. Most people have zero savings or even a negative net worth.

Yeah I mean to be fair there are tons of gun enthusiasts that also have an insane number of guns and ammo (because they regularly go shooting at a range or something for fun).

Linux is the coolest fucking OS, hands down… If you’re a computer nerd. Otherwise it’s inconvenient at the best of times. Many users click around in their OS of choice without fully understanding what they’re doing, myself included. Try this in Linux and you’re in for a really bad time.

It really depends on how much time people would have to migrate data and swap email accounts. If it’s years, we would probably be fine although the financial and data loss would be still be incalculable.

If we didn’t have much or any time to migrate… I don’t even want to think about it. If email accounts suddenly got shut down many people would lose banking access, among many other things. It would probably cause a global recession if I had to guess (talking out my ass on this one but I wouldn’t be surprised).
