So it begins.
To add to Pfifel’s comment, you can’t play the cats in this game but you can in Monster Hunter Generations and Generations Ultimate. Generations is stuck on the 3DS, Generations Ultimate is on the Switch. GU is basicslly like a best-of Monster Hunter that incorporates all the previous games in one form or another, either by including all the previous villages or a lot of OG monsters, and playing as a felyne is sorta like an additional weapon.
You have them as your companions and they help you on hunts by fighting alongside your hunter, setting traps, and doing other miscellaneous support moves, but they are playable by yourself too. The gameplay is pretty much the same just from the cat’s POV and a different moveset. Plus, the weapons aren’t as varied. Still lots of fun.
Here’s a video going over how they work in Generations: https://youtu.be/-JkNVpbfJKI?si=fhe3x9P19U6vpzrK
Might be a little confusing if you’re completely new to the series but still worth a watch, imo, since gaijin hunter makes really good tutorials overall
Dude remakes would be amazing. I’m just happy that Legacy of Kain isn’t completely forgotten and is playable on newer hardware.
Recently got a hold of a jailbreakable PS4 where I put the two Soul Reavers and Defiance onto and had fun with them but the age definitely shows. A proper remaster is definitely more than I could ask for
I pogged so hard when they announced that. Been asking for this for years
Not sure about Steam, but owners of the complete edition can get an upgrade for 10€ on PlayStation
Out of curiosity, what do you do with all that storage? Can’t imagine I’d ever need that much personally
Well, not literally no money to be made but compared to reddit, I meant. But you’re absolutely right.
There’s currently (*comparatively) no money to be made with bots given Lemmy’s comparatively small size, I’d wager. Bots on Reddit are used to advertise and to push companies’ agendas. Lemmy’s too small for that
Ask’d. So strange yet so beautiful
That’s so evil and so amazing
Right, that was a thing too
Yea that’s a valid point. Not really sure where to draw the line
Well yea, it’s another motivator for people to actively go against the Russian government in one way or another. The more discontent people are with the situation that’s been ongoing for 2+ years, the more likely something’s to happen, I’d wager
This debate had been brought up back when Atomic Heart was bound to be released. Many people argued back then that it’s fine buying the game since the dev team had completely relocated to Cyprus (very popular country for Russians to move to next to Kazakhstan and numerous European countries), thus not funding the Russian government through taxes.
However, given that the dev team still lives in Russia this time, there’s not much to debate. The figures the author mentions check out and there’s no other way to put it, really, that gamers are, in part at least, funding Russia.
Sure, the company might have opposing views to Russia, but firstly, they haven’t moved to a different country, which is at least a little concerning, and secondly, are a legal entity in Russia, so they pay them regardless of motivation.
As I tried to outline in my comment, I am no longer of that opinion. Valid comment nonetheless
Why now? They already made their millions off the game and the hype is mostly over. Weird decision.
Back when Palworld came out, I would have loved for Nintendo to sue them just because. But ever since, Nintendo has made one L decision after another, so I hope that Pocketpair wins somehow
Happy cakeday?
