While I agree its not terribly aestetic I think that low, aerodynamic hood design is actually pretty good for pedestrian sefety. You want to catch them low and let them go over the car as much a possible. It’s the big flat trucks right at chest level that do the most damage.

The front frontend looks as pedestrian friendly as a Cybertruck. I don’t like it.

That sharp angle will fracture a tib-fib as it gently scoops you onto the hood.
But it won’t hit your vital torso organs, which is more important for pedestrian safety
