A new study by researchers at the Oxford Martin School at the University of Oxford and Leiden University, published in Communications Sustainability, estimates environmental damage at $1.7 to $5.7 trillion a year, and finds biodiversity loss, not climate change, is its largest single component.
That’s a very large range. But is has no context. Is this a lot or a little? What’s the total damage estimate? What the estimate for the other 90% of people?
