A Question about Community Preferences

Apologies if this isn’t the right community for this question, but is there a preference for specificity of requested communities?

For example, is it better to submit a request for /c/SpecificTechnologyOrLanguage or /c/CategoryOfTechnology?

Request Guidelines

Please give both the value for the url and the display name for the community (we’ve been using snake case for most of the urls)
Communities must fit within the instance as being aimed at topics relevant to software engineers, hackers, hardware and software enthusiasts, script kiddies, cryptographers, researchers, roboticists, and more.
If you have the same idea as someone else upvote their post rather than making a new one just so there isn’t duplicates

This community can be federated to other instances and be posted/commented in by their users.
