I recently wanted to watch Harry Potter (you know, a pretty famous movie). I was surprised not to find a single torrent of the movie in Spanish in multiple websites, and once I finally did, the dub was in Spain Spanish (as opposed to latinamerican Spanish).
Anyways, I think there should be a better way to do this, any suggestions?
PS: Sorry if asked before.
I don’t have an answer unfortunately but I ran into the same issue. I used some random sites (think Pelisplay and pelisplus) to watch some stuff but it was more miss than hit.
The other frustrating part is that even if you watch a Spanish translated show on Netflix for example, the subtitles usually don’t match with what they’re saying, even though it’s the same language.
That’s because the dub and the subtitles are translated by two different people in two different times and there isn’t any quality control when are both done to check for consistency
Subtitles are not captions. Dubbing usually results in trying to make speech match mouth movements which can be pretty limiting. Subtitles do not have such restrictions and I would not want them to as the main purpose is to accurately translate what was spoken in the original language. Dub and sub were never intended to match. Captions are.
