This is a shot of the innards of my PC from a couple years ago, the Vega 56 featured in this shot has since been upgraded to an RX 6600, and the CPU I was using at the time, an R7 1700, has since been side-graded to an R5 4500, and the Wraith Spire box heatsink that’s featured in this shot has since been upgraded to an NH-U12S redux /w the second fan kit, admittedly an overkill heatsink for an R5 4500, but it does a really good job keeping that CPU cool.

I just built one that has no RGB. The case has it, but it’s not powered, so it’s just a dark box.

Still can, RGB is at a minimum in my PC, the only RGB currently at play is some pulsing lights on the mainboard which I choose to ignore as it’s not hurting anything.

I could, there’s an option in the BIOS settings, I just don’t because my mainboard’s RGB is so low-key that it doesn’t really matter if I leave it on or not, and its default setting is to pulsate.

My GPU has minimal lighting (3070 XC) one for the logo on the side, motherboard has its turned off (if it even has any?) and my ram is set to a dull white.

All fans are noctua (heatsink is a d15 black, case are mission brown)

System is somewhat recent (13900kf + z790i edge)

The minimal lighting that I have can be toggled easily.

Funnily enough my z390 board in my rack has more lighting than my desktop PC, can’t be bothered to turn it’s onboard strip off.

I feel lighting has its place, but too many SI / people overdo it.

My current GPU has no RGB (PowerColor Fighter RX 6600), and I’m just using basic G.Skill Aegis RAM atm. Mainboard’s a PRIME B350-Plus which was updated to BIOS 6042 so it can take 4000-series and 5000-series CPUs.
