This is why I think the dumbest argument fans make is “Oh this NBA player agrees with me, do you think you know more than them?”

It should be pretty clear by now a lot of these guys have some really bad takes.

Many people are good at the game. But dont know anything about the tactics or other positions.

Ive had 2 former pro soccer coaches in lower leagues. They were 100% clueless, everything was just fight harder

Reminds me of an old story about Ted Williams, when he tried (and failed miserably) to be a hitting coach.

“See ball, hit ball” - Ted Williams

Easy to coach when you are as gifted as Ted Williams

Wayne Gretzky had a similar situation when he was a coach. He tried to tell his team to pull off a specific manuver if the defenders were coming in quickly and his players were like “yeah we can’t physically do that”.

It’s shit like this that has me convinced LeBron will be a horrible executive when he retires. The only all time great NBA players that excelled as an executive to my knowledge were Larry Bird and Jerry West. And Bird is the only one I remember who was able to coach

It is why certain players would not make good coaches. They understand talent and effort, and that doesn’t always translate to tactics and camaraderie

It doesn’t even matter. Professional athletes have egos which means they’re just as susceptible to shitty takes than anyone.

If being an NBA player gave you instant perfect credibility to make these statements, they would be smart enough to not shit talk Jordan or Lebron during a game yet they have consistently

This is the prime example why NOT EVERYONE should have a podcast. No IQ, or any intellectual analysis or conversation, and nothing funny either. So what the hell do you even have??

People from all different words just been starting podcasts nowdays because it’s “lucrative” now, and the “trend”. Especially since Joe Rogan paved the way. But not everyone should have a podcast. They just say whatever nonsense with no logic or IQ, and it’s not even a joke

These clowns basically talk to themselves in the podcast, and thinks they’re right because no one else is saying anything. (Gilbert is also a fool for staying quiet there, btw)

It’s like watching a weird comedy show, without the punchline. You wait for the punchline, but it’s never there. Then you realize, they’re just dumb

EDIT: Among the NBA players, look at RJ and Channing’s podcast. They’re atleast HILARIOUS.

Then look at JJ Reddick’s podcast. Mans highly intelligent and logical. Basketball savant

Then look at Paul George’s new podcast. 2 of the people there are hilarious and they have great chemistry since they’re all friends. and Paul George is another intelligent basketball player who knows how to talk eloquently and break down stuff. No insecurity, or lack of logic. No bias

THAT is a podcast. That’s what a podcast should be. Especially a basketball podcast… It’s either hilarious, or extremely informative. You need to have one or the other.

But too many clowns just use their “platform” to say brain dead and ZERO IQ nonsense, with no logic or facts. It’s embarrassing

Dude Kyrie thinks the earth is fucking flat.

Playing basketball doesn’t mean you’re not a complete dumbass.

Ron Artest put Kyrie in his top 5 all time and above LEBRON JAMES at that.

      He had 1. Big O, MJ-Kobe tied at 2, 4. Kyrie and 5. LeBron

and this list came AFTER LeBron led the Cavs to that 1-3 comeback against GSW in 2016 lmao

Most of these dudes are idiots AND lots are racist always refusing to give proper respect to non-black great players.
