Hey everyone. 1st post here and would appreciate some help.
I went through the search function but couldn’t find anything similar to my asking.
I was looking to buy my first entry or mid-level luxury ( price brackets confuse me ) with a sub 5-6 k budget.
My conditions: it has to be new and something i could wear daily.
Dimensions : 38-42 mm and bracelet preferred.
What i like from a looks perspective is Tag Heuer Aquaracer 200 Auto 40 mm and Zenith Defy Skyline which seems like it’s totally out of my budget.
Idc about resale value or investment. I just want to wear the watch.
Any help would be appreciated.
Sorry if this kind of discussion doesn’t warranty a new post by i am a bit excited.
First of all, the Defy Skyline is in you budget on Chrono24. Also, if you like the Defy Skyline, you might also like the Defy Classic which you can get easily for under 6000$. I have the skeleton-version and love it.
Tissot/Hamilton
I already have a Tissot. I was thinking of something more premium.
You’re in the same spot as me then. I’ve tried looking for Certinas which are a brand that’s like in between Tissot and Hamilton but not quite where Longines or Tag Heuer are either yet. It’s a sort of middle ground. Problem is they’re hard to find. I know Teddy Baldassarre sells some if you’re in US. And here where I live you’re meant to order them online only.
Still, a more…practical alternative could do so I found Victorinox to be that. But neither of the two brands has anything that quite gets to me style wise.
Another option is a vintage Omega but I fear buying vintage watches because they often arrive Damaged On Arrival
How about something like:
- Breitling Chronomat: https://www.breitling.com/us-en/watches/chronomat/chronomat-automatic-gmt-40/A32398101B1/
- Bremont Supermarine: https://www.bremont.com/products/s302-gr-b
I like the looks of the Breitling. Will definitely try one.
