Minnesota 2nd in both most surprising and most disappointing.
They definitely have a lot of variance. Does Ant elevate his game and realize his potential and do KAT and Gobert figure out how to coexist with more playing time? Or was Ant’s postseason an anomaly and will the bigs continue to have a lot of problems? I think they could be the 3rd seed or the 9th seed, depending on the answers to those questions.

Johnny Davis is the obvious MIP pick if you’re gonna select anyone off the Wizards. If he is serviceable it will be a massive improvement because his rookie season was just that bad.

Crazy how just since I submitted my predictions last week Thursday that my mind would change on the Grizzlies given what we know about Steven Adams. I’d re-adjust my rankings by bumping them down to the 5 seed with this information if I re-ranked today. I think the Ja suspension will actually be beneficial to their season between developing chemistry with Smart in the fold, but without Clarke and Adams it is a tall ask of Xavier Tillman to be the main big guy. That will probably hamper what they can do with JJJ roaming as an off ball help defender.

Ended up tied for the 2 seed with Milwaukee and Celtics with a 51-31 record. This year is no different, and the supporting cast might even be better, especially if the Harden trade happens earlier than the Simmons one did.
