Season tips off during the busiest time of the sports calendar…why? Going Christmas-mid August they could absolutely dominate the summer. Never made sense to me?

    Leave the summer gap open for the international window. your proposition means no nba athlete could compete for Paris '24. Oct-Apr season, Apr- playoffs is just fine to me.

    Because that would mean that every 4 years the NBA would have to redo their schedule for the Olympics and FIBA World Cup. It also would have the NBA playoffs competing with the FIFA World Cup & UEFA Euros every 2 years.
