What I mean is a player who postups a lot, or gets his points from pick and rolls and putbacks. Doesn’t really shoot threes, and if he does they’re minimal. Back is to the basket a lot. Focuses a lot on defense and rebounding. Basically what you would think of a 90s big man
This is always an interesting stereotype to see repeated, who are these 90s bigs? because when you look at them individually, there is a LOT of unique talent and skillsets in huge bodies.
Ewing and Shaq and Hakeem are all pretty different. Mourning is probably one of the most “traditional.” Dikembe was the hustle and defense archetype. Rik Smits was giant finnesse, Luc Longley was a teddybear with a nice stroke and wicked vision, Ostertag was a giant stiff, Cliff Robinson and Perkins and Marshall were slinging from deep, Sabonis was a busted giant with an enormous bag and sweet laser shot from the top of the key, Divac was unique as all hell (passing, size, rim and post defense, great hands), Christian Laettner was an oversized wing trying to be a big, The davis’s were bringing the bodies, oakley and mason were so damn thick lol, You have larry johnson and shawn kemp as elite undersized athletes, you have Barkley and rodman and kg and duncan, Kukoc and Shrempf were stretching and handling the ball. Malone was a beast in the post and transition and had a wet jumper while being a very good defender for a very long time
The 90s had a lot of talent and diversity of playstyles despite whatever impression people may have about it
what 90s big fits your criteria? certainly not all of them
