I’ll preface this by saying I’ve used many different brands of cameras since I started photography; I won’t list them because there have been many. In 2016, photography kinda lost its magic to me so I decided to buy a Fujifilm X-T10 just because. That camera, for whatever reason made photography fun again and I can’t explain why. However, that joy was short lived as I discovered Lightroom’s terrible rendering of the X-Trans filter, giving certain textures a watercolor effect. Lightroom was the only program I was using at the time and to me, the errors were distracting enough so I ended up going M43. Fast forward to today and I’ve switched to using ON1 and it renders my old Fuji files just fine, and now I’m longing for my little X-T10. All that being said, anyone else regret or long for a past camera you didn’t appreciate at the time?
I tried the Olympus OM D 10(?) or something like that and while weight and convenience were great, I just didn’t like it. I really do not want to look at a screen to frame my shot, it’s interpreted and I don’t like it. I went back to my 5D/2 and picked up a 5DS/r and am happy again.
