LeBron passing Kareem for all-time scoring was astonishing, probably the greatest achievement I’ve seen since following basketball, not trying to take anything away from that. But there is still one record left where Kareem has a significant edge: 15,837 FGM to LeBron’s 14,169. For each of the past two seasons, LeBron has netted just over 600 FGM, so at minimum, he would need 3-4 more seasons of comparable production.

Personally, I think it’s a long shot, but I thought the same thing about the scoring record. I hope he does it! I like seeing records get broken. Do you think he’ll get there?

The point nts record is ridiculous, if LBJs 3s counted as twos bed still be in 2nd place; Kareem played more than half his career w/o a 3pt line. He went 1/18 for his career.

    And no, he won’t.

Best haterade I’ve heard was that LeBron is not the leading scorer of all time over Kareem because LeBron did not score a point in college.

Lebron is the greatest athlete this planet has ever seen. I wouldn’t doubt he plays a few more years.
