I’ve seen quite a few posts about people buying expensive dive watches and never using them for what they were designed. Today I actually did and never thought I would take a $4500 watch diving. I’ll probably never take it as deep as it’s rated for, but today atleast it got to really go under water.
I’ve had my Seamaster for about a year now and several other dive watches. I’ve taken my Casio Duro snorkeling a few times in Curacao and St.Thomas. Today is the day that the Seamaster actually got to go on an island trip. It was with me for my third trip to Grand Cayman on my first beginner dive where I saw my first nurse shark and hawksbill turtle for my 15th anniversary. Here’s to many more. We started at about 8ft and descended to about 30-40ft down at Sotos Reef.
Unfortunately because it was a beginner dive, I wasn’t allowed to bring the go pros down with me and I don’t have any pictures.
No photos = it never happened.
