First time poster on this sub…
I joined because I have fallen in love with an entry level Tissot (it’s this one in blue - https://www.tissotwatches.com/en-en/t1144171104700.html).
It’s not inconceivable that I could buy this next year as my first foray into the finer things in the watch wearer’s life.
I’m living in Tokyo, and I’ve visited a Tissot branch, as well as electronics stores - the watch even comes up at Amazon with 20% points back.
I assume the brand’s own store would be safest, but I thought I’d ask opinions here on the pros and cons of different retailers - TIA!

Directly from brand
Pros: 100% Authentic and the piece of mind. Build relationship(not sure if that’s really a pro if you buy online)
Cons: No discount, authenticity requires more work.
I’ve not seen many Tissot replicas and even so it’s probably only on the very popular one right now. (PRX)
PRX replicas are all over the place right now
The one I’m looking at is a PRC 200 I think - but what you’re suggesting is that the brand’s own store is guaranteed to be authentic… thanks!

They replicate all kinds of Tissots… the Le Locle, and the PRC200 is one of the most commonly faked models of any watch
Definitely peace of mind - also I met the deputy store manager and we talked at length - great guy!
This confirms what I already suspected, but happy to hear further evidence or other opinions as well!
