Hi folks,

I’m very new to the watch community and would like to purchase my first watch. I LOVE the Seiko Spb197j1 mountain glacier alpinist watch and would like that as my first piece. I’m unable to find it online (checked Chrono24, Jomashop) or on watch exchange.

How do I go about buying this watch? Is it sold in retail? I live in Toronto btw!

    It’s unlikely you’ll find one new. You could look on r/watchexchange for one that’s used. They come up every so often. It’s a European released model so you won’t find one on jomashop or in Toronto. You could try googling the item # and see what comes up. I tried mastersintime.com (Netherlands) as they had them in the past but they don’t atm. (Discontinued). And, the place I bought mine from doesn’t list it.

    Wta: I just saw the other post for ~999€ and that’s pretty pricey.
