I got one a S5…I feel under but nearly 20 years ago. Wear it often still. Nice, but you don’t stress about the daily wear n tear.

Fantastic looking watch for a great price with a good movement from a reputable brand. Overall one of the best first watches you could get. Absolutely fantastic job buddy

Seiko 5 is an excellent place to start. It would be my recommendation to anyone who was interested in getting a first watch to explore the hobby. I used to have one almost just like what you got.

Great watch. Also check out the Orient Bambino for a nice, inexpensive dress watch. They make them in a variety of sizes as well.

Seiko 5s are “starter” watches for many on this sub. This is a sharp-looking example and the movement is good.

Can’t speak to price, haven’t shopped them lately. Sub $200 these days is probably a deal, but I just don’t know for sure.

Great choice. My first Seiko 5 with the old 7s26 movement was a daily beater and lasted 15 years.

Now I have an SRPH23 black dial 40mm version of your that’s barely left my wrist in over a year. And it’s perfect.

Great watch at a great size, but I don’t think I’ll be replacing my SNK807 with this very similar watch costing twice as much. As the discontinued SNK800 series becomes increasingly unavailable, I see this as excellent alternative.

I was initially going to buy something used or older but was worried about Mumbai specials and my own lack of knowledge. Being Canadian, almost every pre-owned site I found was shipping internationally.

Probably would not have grabbed this one if not for the discount since YT reviewers say the $300usd MSRP for the new is overpriced.
