Is this a blatant overreaction to a small sample size? Yes.

Is this sustainable? Probably not

But does this show that the narrative of the Suns having no defense is largely untrue based on the eye test and stats? Yes

This team can very well be a top 10 defensive team by the end of the year, and I think it can be said now that the depth + no defense argument are slowly getting put to rest… Would you say that the only thing holding this team back is health?

    It’s not that we know for sure the suns have no defense, it’s that they have no players known for being particularly competent defenders except for KD. You can still have a good defensive without a defensive star, but that’s going to be up to player buy in and coaching .
