One of these is about to be my first watch. I’m a complete novice, so things most watch heads would notice I probably wouldn’t. But what are the actual differences here? Which watch is nicer?
I’m personally in the market for a watch in this style that looks premium but doesn’t break the bank. I have no interest in reselling or anything like that, and would wear the watch most days. Which would you recommend I go for? Are there any major cons to either model? Personally I prefer the lines on the face of the Mako but also think the larger numbers on the outside of the Ray look good too. Which is the conventionally more attractive watch?
Thanks!
They are the same case and movement with different cosmetics. Most obvious is the numbers vs. indicies, but they have different hands, bezel fonts, and bracelets as well. Neither is nicer. Personally I mostly prefer the Ray because I don’t like numbered watches where the 3 is removed for the day/date, but that’s a personal hang up. I do like the look for the mako bracelet better (they Ray has some shiny bits on it)
