If harden wants to be traded he will have to play into it. Otherwise teams won’t give enough for sixers to care. The bigger the mess he makes the smaller the next contract is and the few suitors are for him despite his talent.

I wanted Harden back before but honestly now I’m on the fence, keeping Harden away until a trade is achieved would give Maxey so much confidence leading this team’s backcourt. I’m pretty sure confidence and having the ball is all he needs to be an All-Star pretty much right now

It’s of course only been 3 games and 2 were against the Blazers and Raptors, but all the cutting and shit their guys have been doing are things Harden is also great at finding.

The Embiid Maxey 2 man game is better now because the ball actually goes back to Maxey, whereas Doc would only use it to set Embiid up.

Harden can fit into all this especially by unlocking more guys from the bench, who all seem to collectively be struggling other than Oubre who is like the anti-Harris when it comes to letting it fly & is such a good deal with his contract. Harden has worked well in more free flowing offenses and his lack of “impact” when he doesn’t have the ball is so overstated (thanks, Ringer) it’s kinda crazy.

Would also be great for Harden to continue mentoring Maxey as a lead ballhandler

It still pisses me off the Sixers F.O risked the chemistry messing with Harden’s contract esp. when it was reported he was willing to compromise on the deal if Daryl actually played it normally instead of ghosting him.

They coulda spent more of their early free agency actually acquiring more talent instead of being held up by the trade shit

James Harden made a deal with the devil, and he’s learning the hard way what happens when you do that
