for me it was and still is the meze 109 pro
it is just perfect sounding in every aspect for me. and the treble is no issue for mye anymore. it is a fun, easy driven headphone.

I have big ears and Most headphones squish my ears against my head and it hurts after a few hours. Sennheiser are the only ones that fit and my HD559 are great for gaming.
