Kawhi Leonard:

  • Born in Los Angeles, CA
  • Went to high school at Canyon Springs (Moreno Valley, California), then Martin Luther King (Riverside, California)
  • Went to college at San Diego State University

Paul George:

  • Born in Palmdale, CA
  • Went to high school at Palmdale HS
  • Went to college at Fresno State University

Russell Westbrook:

  • Born in Long Beach, CA
  • Went to high school at Leuzinger (Lawndale, California)
  • Went to college at UCLA

James Harden:

  • Born in Los Angeles, CA
  • Went to high school at Artesia (Lakewood, California)

Is this the greatest accumulation of homegrown star players (albeit past their respective primes)?

Its Crazy to me that the Clippers have this roster and I would still pick Bostons starting 5 over them.

Demar Derozan and Zack Lavine are still out there for a trade too, lol.

Like every good 2 guard rn comes from LA. They all watched Kobe.

Homegrown is WILD to use in this context lol

Only Westbrook has a claim to be homegrown, everyone else became good elsewhere

I’m happy for all the guys to go back to socal, it’s wonderful!

But it’s kinda dramatic to phrase it as if this is some triumph of socal youth basketball development lol

Spurs developed Kawhi. Pacers developed PG. OKC and Houston developed Harden.
