A contender is a team that has a real chance of reaching the Finals. The West is so stacked they have 6 contenders meanwhile the East only has 2 true contenders.
East Contenders:
- Boston Celtics
- Milwaukee Bucks
West Contenders:
- Denver Nuggets
- Dallas Mavericks
- Golden State Warriors
- Phoenix Suns
- Los Angeles Clippers
- Los Angeles Lakers
The more the season moves on (plus what injuries happen), I think more people will jump onto the Hawks and Pacers bandwagons for being this years Kings.
I don’t know if either are actual contenders yet or not, but I think the Hawks could be a sneaky team to put a few bucks on to win the East.
