I’ve been using ANC types (AirPods Pro and XM3) for years and I thought they were really good. Spent a week on reviews and decided the weight and comfort is really important to me, I get neck aches from desk work so the lightweight design sold me. And Dan Clark seems like a good guy running a legit small business, in his videos.

I love how I can hear the subtle details in vocals I couldn’t before. Like saliva, throat and breath sounds. Feels more real and human. Let’s see if I still get goosebumps after this honeymoon period.

Is FiiO K7 good enough for it? I have to turn the amp vol to 80 for it to sound satisfying. Is this usual or a sign of a weak amp?

Let me ask you this, do you want a mobile amp or a stationery amp ??

By what your asking, it’s a mobile amp… Right now you are on the edge of a pricy rabbit hole called audiophiles; welcome. I highly suggest you do get it because that is going to be you entry point for comparison if you later want to try a different amp, which I recommend you do. Atm I have a hi res audio set up for my pc with dac and amp comb. With my pc speakers, been passive, been run by amp and my head phones also been hooked up to my amp, it’s a little tedious but I love it.
