minus-square𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒏@lemmy.onelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·11 months agoI really wish symmetric broadband was standard. Having 500 down (as a homelabber especially) means nothing if you have only 25 up 😭
minus-squareshadow@lemmy.sdf.orglinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·11 months agoHomelabber here, stuck in Comcast hell with 10Mbps upload. I wish I could afford to bring the local municipal fiber to my house, but to go like 2 city blocks with it would be tens of thousands of dollars. :( I’m considering a local colocation/ datacenter to move my homelab to. But then it wouldn’t be a homelab anymore
minus-squareCmdrShepard@lemmy.onelinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up1·11 months agoSame boat here with Comcast. I would gladly give up some of the 800Mbps download to increase the 12Mbps upload speed I’m getting.
