Hey there, I recently picked up the Steelseries Nova 7 and I’ve been quite impressed with its ability to simultaneously play sounds from my PC and phone – it’s truly a game-changer!

However, I’ve been experiencing a minor issue with the Nova 7 as they tend to slip off my head quite easily, which can be a bit frustrating. In contrast, I have an older Siberia 800 headset that’s incredibly comfortable and works great. I’m hoping to achieve one of two things:

  1. I’d love for my current headset to function like the Nova 7, allowing me to hear audio from both my PC and phone simultaneously without any hassle.
  2. If option 1 isn’t feasible, I’d like to at least have the ability to switch easily to Bluetooth mode to listen to my phone and then seamlessly switch back to my PC.

I appreciate any advice or suggestions you might have. Thanks in advance!

Simultaneous playback of two sources, with one being Bluetooth, is a rare beast. I suggest checking out the sub for gaming headsets.

If you’re down to option 2, then the Audeze Maxwell is an example of a low latency wireless gaming headset that also does Bluetooth multipoint switching. Wireless non-gaming headphones that support “USB DAC mode”, i.e. you can use them wired via USB to the PC for low latency, would also satisfy option 2.

As it is an older gaming headset (low latency) I don’t think it supports Bluetooth at all but has its own proprietary tansmission protocol.

As the transmitter has various inputs, connect a Bluetooth receiver to e.g. the Toslink input and pair it with your phone
