    It’s not that people don’t “believe in this art form” anymore, it’s a combination of the consistent release of crappy movies (superhero junk, remakes, sequels and prequels…) plus overpriced movie tickets…

      True, but the result for me at least was that I started to believe that the medium itself was too limited to produce competent output, besides happy accidents. This movie restored my faith a little in both the medium and the audiences.

      Hard disagree. Purely from a commerce perspective, it’s contributes as much to GDP as the utilities and the mining sectors do.

      And it’s one of the few things that will maybe keep people sane as late stage capitalism death spirals out of control.
