I wonder what would happen if the world just kind of ignored him? Imagine that… Just do what China’s doing. No interaction. No deals, no negotiations. Just silent chuckling and finger pointing with whiskey’s in hand.

Then things will soon get very tough, especially for ordinary US citizens and the socially disadvantaged in particular. Trump’s idiotic power games are largely at the expense of US citizens.

This is already evident from the fact that his import tariffs are in principle nothing more than a massive VAT increase.

Yes, I very much hope so.

Unfortunately, however, I fear that the situation for ordinary US citizens will have to get even worse. That seems to be the prerequisite for Drump’s still frighteningly numerous followers to overcome the sect-like state of mind in which they live in thanks to their apparent lack of intellect and the deliberate misinformation by their own leader and all his greedy cronies.

But yes: perhaps the collapse of the US standard of living, which I believe is inevitable due to this incompetent administration, will be able to perform this miracle.

I think it is high time if anything is to be saved from total ruin.

It will be very tough. Hell, it already is. Maybe the american people will at some point finally do something about it? I personally don’t want anyone to go through any of this crap, but here we are. All self inflicted, too.

the US barely produces anything worth a shit anyway. so no need for imports. sure exporting to the US can bring in good money but they need the rest of the world much more than the rest of the world needs them. just let them take themselves out of the world economy and deal as if they never existed. the world would be better for it.

As someone who stands to lose when China wins the trade war, I still find myself appreciating that they aren’t putting up with Trump’s bullshit.

Of course China is playing hardball, heck I wouldn’t be surprised if they want to keep the Trump tariffs in place. Through his tariffs, inconsistency and idiocy Trump’s drastically weakening the USA’s power around the globe. Why would they want that to stop?

Sure China is losing money now, but they can see the end of the United States as a superpower on the horizon… and a world where China is the top superpower is worth a little pain now.

There’s always a new way for China to make money. Global dominance through soft power projection? That’s priceless.

There really aren’t any negotiations. Just ask Japan. Our administration can’t negotiate with anyone because Putin hasn’t told Trump what to ask for.
