the reason why they’re doing this and the reason why it probably won’t save the product line are the same: the only reason people were buying Amazon TV devices and smart displays was to side load apps
Yeah, my parents went from Roku to Amazon to have the option of side loading. Good thing jellyfin is all I need.
If I can’t side load apps like vlc, YouTube next or Stremio as examples I simply won’t buy them anymore.
