So I was watching the Timberwolves game last night on League Pass and there was a pre-game Ad of Jaylen Clark getting his face scanned into 2k. He started the Ad with “This is Jaylen Clark coming off our monster win against the Pelicans”. They then went on to have a monster win against the Pelicans. I know the Pelicans were missing players but this is just very confusing to me. It reminds me of when they accidentally played a commercial saying Blake Griffin was going to win the dunk contest before it happened. He is a young player so I could see it as joking trash talk but it has just been weird to me ever since it played. This is his rookie season and the wolves first matchup this season against the Pelicans, it’s not an old Ad.

Well, see, commercials are not aired live.

The Wolves were playing the Pelicans.

One team was going to win. So, 50/50 shot. The Wolves are historically one of the worst franchises in the league. So, any win could be considered a “monster” win for them.

As part of the NBA 2K24 NBA SUMMER LEAGUE The Timberwolves defeated the Pelicans 102-88. That being said he didn’t play in that game so I’m not sure.
