Whether we find out or not, this sudden realization period often comes from realizing all the people you hurt in the past (hookers, diddling kids, whatever) and realizing that being closer to death, Catholic beliefs allow you to just repent and have all that washed away… Shady shit and makes me question what he’s running from. Could be nothing… But the man was in Hollywood for like 40 years. You tend to see some shit.

60 years old is a ripe old age to convert to Catholicism, without a conquistador’s musket in your face. Most of us start at 0 years old and regret it for the rest of our lives.
Eh I have seen plenty of people become religious later on in life after not believing in anything while they were younger. 60 is about the age people start to realize that you are much closer to dying any day now and your life is pretty much behind you. Many people convert to religion when they are older due to this fear and wanting to believe there is something after death.
Especially when you have skeletons in your closet… I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s running from some shady 90s hookers and blow filled past that’s starting to catch up to his good night sleeps.
