New RM2. Not sure I’m a fan yet. Anyways…

One feature I was drawn to was the ability to sync and edit on multiple devices. But that doesn’t seem to be 100% accurate, is it?

I got it to sync. This morning I added a quick note to a notebook on my phone. When I got to the office and opened up my RM2, sure enough my quick note was there. But then I wanted to move it down the page so I grabbed my little crop tool and outlined it, no love.

So I wrote some text on the RM2, let it synch back to my desktop, and I find that I can edit the typed text that I originally entered via my phone, but I cannot edit / delete my handwritten note from the RM2.

So it seems while I CAN edit on multiple devices, the ability to edit remains with whatever app the text originated in?

Edit: by “quick note” I mean literally something I added to an existing notebook… quickly. Not a “quick sheet” which I recognize is something different. Thought I should clarify.

you use the text tool, not the selection tool to move around text. All handwriting manipulation is on the device, but text works on the apps. Plus, if a stroke is on a text, and the text is deleted, the stroke is also removed

Thanks for the feedback, but that doesn’t seem to work. Maybe I didn’t explain it.

I added text to an existing notebook via the app on my phone. I now see the text in the notebook on the RM2, but I cannot edit / select / move it.

When I select the text tool on the RM2 in that notebook, it wants to create NEW text. I cannot interact with the text that’s already there.

I’m really just documenting this for posterity (and to thank you) because I’m 99% sure this is getting returned at this point.
